Public policy work and contribution to the legislative process are also a very important part of my academic scholarship. I remain an active member of the Canadian Criminal Justice Association (CCJA). Founded in 1919, the CCJA is a national organization working for an improved justice system in Canada. I have served as an Advisory Member of the REAL (Resources, Education, Advocacy for Local sex workers); Brant, Haldimand, Norfolk working group and as a Volunteer Co-ordinator for the Canadian Families and Corrections Network Family Resource Centre, Grand Valley Correctional Institution for Women, Kitchener.
